The Best Things In Life Are Free! (Well... bartered/swapped/etc.)

So last week I was offered a shite-load of olives (the collective noun of course!  :p).  Part of an unwanted harvest from a farm that belongs to a work mate's parents.  I've been hanging out to do a spot of pickling for a while so I jumped at the opportunity!  I received my first bag on Friday,  and so last night started the process.
It's labour intensive and skin-staining work,  but I could blissfully do this everyday!   I just love the process of producing food.  Whether it's cooking an meal for the family,  or combining homemade muesli , or preserving these little nuggets of olivey goodness....  I seriously LOVE MAKING GOOD FOOD!
And with fruit trees on the way to plant, , there will be more productive foodie moments on the way!   Which reminds me, I need to clear  up the linen cupboard soon in preparation for future projects.   Oh and get the large shed organised.... (did someone say cheesemaking. ...???)
